English proficiency submission EXTENSION ‼

The application of Master in Finance Program (MIF) at Thammasat Business School for the academic year 2023 intake will meet the deadline on May 1, 2023.

For MIF applicants who have no English Proficiency scores, but you will have paid for the MIF application by May 1, 2023, you will be invited to do an interview exam.

If you are eligible for the program. You MUST meet the English proficiency requirements within the first semester (November 2023) or pass EL005 and EL006 courses by the second semester.

Applicants who do not have an English score before an interview exam MUST do the placement test held by MIF (not the English Proficiency Test for application). The test will be a written piece to a generic essay question administered before the interview. It is one page for half an hour.

Requirements of MIF
Quantitative Test (Choose ONE only)

  • SMART-II with a minimum score of 350 and more than 100 for each part.
  • GMAT scores, a good score on the quantitative part.
  • GRE scores, a good score on the quantitative part.

Note: GMAT and GRE scores in past years, the acceptable average scores of GMAT and GRE is 80% in quantitative part. No minimum scores are required to apply.

English Proficiency Test (Choose ONE only)

  • TU-GET with a minimum score 550 for paper-based test or 79 for computer-based test.
  • TOEFL with a minimum score of 79 for internet-based test.
  • IELTS The British Council or IDP with a minimum score is 6.5.

Application process

  • Deadline for submission of all supporting documents: May 3, 2023
  • Announcement of eligible candidates for interview: May 11, 2023
  • Deadline for submission of petition form to waive pre-course: May 14, 2023
  • Online interview exam: May 13, 2023
  • The official announcement of all students accepted into the MIF program and announcement of pre-course waiving result: May 19, 2023

Post acceptance process

  • Student registration: May 19-23, 2023
  • Pre-course registration and payment: May 25-26, 2023
  • Pre-course start: June 2023
  • Start of the regular academic year: August 2023
