MIF Admission 2020 Extending to April 30, 2020

As this is an unusual time with the COVID-19 epidemic, we are trying our best to make sure everybody is safe. We will do our best for minimal interruption in your starting an education with MIF for your future career.

The application of Master of Science Program in Finance (MIF), Thammasat Business School is available from now until April 30, 2020 (extending from March 31, 2020). Interested applicants can apply through www.gradreg.tbs.tu.ac.th.

We would like to inform you of the extended MIF admission schedule in academic year 2020 as follows:

Application process

  • The application is available from now until April 30, 2020 (extending from March 31, 2020).
  • Deadline for the submission of all required documents via e-mail mif@tbs.tu.ac.th is by Sunday, May 3, 2020 (see example through https://bit.ly/3dCb0hY).
  1. Applicant personal information
  2. TU-GET score (A print screen of TU-GET score is acceptable.)
  3. A print screen of SMART-II score
  4. A copy of transcript
  5. A copy of National ID Card or Passport (for foreign applications)
  6. A color photograph file .jpg, resolution not less than 600 dpi, wear shirt without patterns, straight face, not wearing academic gown.
  7. *Letters of recommendation (the referees can directly send the recommendation letter to mif@tbs.tu.ac.th)
  • Announcement of eligible candidates for interview is on Wednesday, May 13, 2020.
  • Online interview exam is on Sunday, May 17, 2020 (Interview by Zoom meeting, the staff will contact you to test the Zoom meeting on Saturday, May 16, 2020).
  • The official announcement of all students accepted into the MIF program is on Friday, May 22, 2020.

Post acceptance process

  • Deadline for submission of petition form to waive pre-course is on May 22-24, 2020.
  • Announcement of pre-course waiving result is on Thursday, May 29, 2020.
  • Online student and pre-course registration is on Saturday, June 6, 2020 (Payment by internet banking).
  • First day of pre-course is on Monday, June 8, 2020.
  • Start of regular academic year is in August 2020.

For a qualified MIF applicant, you MUST have either SMART-II with a minimum total score of 350 and a minimum score of 100 in each part or TU-GET (paper based) with a minimum total score of 500. You will also be invited to do an interview exam. Please see the important note below.

Important note:
If you are planning on taking SMART-II or TU-GET (paper-based test), because the university has postponed it, the submission of score will be waived for now. We will invite you to do an interview and then determine if you are eligible for the program. But you MUST take SMART-II or TU-GET at first available and meet the minimum requirements. The result of SMART-II or TU-GET shall be submitted by July 31, 2020. You will register and proceed as a regular student.
